Absolutely beautiful Lauren is on Faces of Beauty today!
Alright, no more of this Little Miss Innocent act. I know exactly what I’m doing here. I know that this could cause a Nutella crisis the likes of which puts the pumpkin shortage to shame.
I know this, and I don’t care. I have to tell the world…
I have to shout it from the rooftops!!!
NUTELLA STUFFED FRENCH TOAST WILL RULE THE WORLD!!!
I don’t pretend to think that I’m the one who came up with this idea, although I didn’t consult any other recipes to make it. I don’t recall seeing it on anyone else’s blog.
I like to think that by posting it I’ll be responsible for introducing world peace via breakfast.
Nobel Peace Prize here I come!
The best part of all is that the ingredient list is tiny, the flavor is huge, and the repercussions are monstrous. Hello, world peace is a big deal.
Just think about it.
NUTELLA STUFFED FRENCH TOAST (serves 2)
- 4 slices Texas Toast (get the good stuff, you’ll thank me later)
- 2 eggs
- 1/4 cup heavy cream
- 1/8 cup powdered sugar
- 4 Tbsp Nutella
- maple syrup
Preheat a nonstick skillet over medium low heat. In a bowl whisk together the eggs, cream, and powdered sugar. Take 2 slices of the Texas Toast and spread 1 Tbsp of Nutella on each one. Sandwich together and dip both sides in the custard mixture. Grill on each side until brown, about 3-4 minutes. Remove from heat and serve immediately with maple syrup (although, as Nate said, if you wanted to ruin it by serving with fruit you could totally do that too).
So yes, world peace is in your hands…if we all had our mouths stuffed with this then there’s no way anyone could be unhappy!

Ok, Ok. I won’t resist anymore. I’m adding Nutella to my shopping list even though I don’t want to. I know the consequences. I’ll eat the whole jar in a day (probably on French toast since that looks so good). I will blame my sugar rush on you.
Oh my GOSH, that looks amazing. I bet jam would be a yummy topping too! Or a sprinkle of powdered sugar– yum!
I love the backdrop – cool pattern. Of course, it’s not half the eye candy that the dish provides. I think I’d eat just about anything that had Nutella on it.
Would you believe I’ve NEVER had nutella? Must try.
This may make me a Nutella convert.
I don’t know how you still have nutella laying around the house. Both jars would have been long gone by now here at my apt….and there’s only one of me and both you and nate. This looks so bomb!
OH.MY.GOD
I haven’t bought nutella in so long. This needs to change.
Yummm. Nutella CAN faciliate world peace because it is so awesome and anyone who eats it becomes very, very happy…
I want to lick my screen right now.
reading this at work just doesn’t seem fair… i need this in my life now!
Wow…just WOW!
Oh my goodness.. decadence at it’s best.. love it! In fact, I think that looks like an ideal holiday brunch
Oh my goodness… that looks so good! I’m going to BJ’s tonight and am going to buy a huge jar of nutella!
Can you believe I’ve never made french toast? It weirded me out for the longest time… but now I think I’m just lazy or prefer to do pancakes.
I love nutella and french toast…Why haven’t I tired this????! I usually make banana stuffed french toast..but this sounds fantastic.
Just wanted to say how amazing I think you are for creating the faces of beauty campaign. You are incredible and very inspiring.
I’m officially joining the effort for world peace via breakfast.
you know the way to my heart….NUTELLA!
I’m glad I didn’t see this yesterday morning. I was craving french toast something serious but didn’t have time before church. Now I don’t have to regret not making it because I can make it one day soon…with Nutella.
And I’m so glad you’re feeling better!
Oh my goodness this looks amazing. I only tried Nutella for the first time a couple months ago…and proceeded to eat the whole jar over a 3 day period.
The fact that Nutella hasn’t already caused world peace is amazing.
In the words of Rachel Zoe…
I.DIE.
Nutella makes everything alright. I’m working on a Nutella sandwich cookie for my site later this week – I cannot wait to sample as I ‘research’.
I really do believe you are right that this Stuffed Nutella French Toast will rule the world. I could easily let it rule mine
xo
I refuse to buy Nutella because I am convinced I would eat the entire jar in just one sitting. This post is making those pretty little jars even harder to resist.
It’s very hard for me to write this comment because of the drool that has landed on my keyboard….
Ahhh, this brings me back to when I lived in Greece and every morning my breakfast consisted of toast with nutella and jam….I’m preeeety sure my fingers were stained brown from the constant dipping in the jar.
Things I want to put my face in.
Cannot get enough of Nutella, this is making me hungry!
This is just dangerous. As if I needed a way to make Nutella even more enjoyable.
I’m drooling. What did we ever do before Nutella??!
That looks simply amazing!
I can’t believe I haven’t thought of this! What a dream — I love your photos!
I’ve lurked your site for a long time and I finally had to come out of the woodwork. After spending the summer travelling, I came up a few pounds heavier, mostly because I managed to consume 4 jars of Nutella on my own… since I’ve been back home I’ve avoided it because I have zero self control, but this has changed my mind!! Good work Heather!
Wow, I took a look at your picture on tastespotting and wondered if it was nutella! Love using nutella in things. I haven’t yet made nutella stuffed french toast, but now I must!
this looks a-mazing.
I have never tried Nutella… Maybe I should, as that French Toast looks amazing…
wow – those look amazing! I have to say, you’ve got me curious about Nutella (I’ve never tried it before). And I know what you mean about the pumpkin shortage. I’m already rationing my pumpkin butter supply until it returns next year!
“Hello, world peace is a big deal. ” HA, yes it is! And so is combining two Delicious things as you have…I might have to throw Peanut butter into that mix. You know, just to put us in a food coma for an extra hour…
My kind of weekend breakfast:)
I’m intentionally going out to get a hangover tomorrow night just so I can make this as a hangover cure.
Genius. Genius, genius, genius, genius, genius. You’re my hero.

Loves fab! Although I will have to try this gluten free I am sure I can reproduce this to be be safe for me and other celiacs. Also check out http://www.thespunkycoconut.com for her homemade (dairy free but not taste free) nutella. You will never buy it again as it is so easy to make.
wow, sounds amazing! i’ll have to bookmark that recipe
I have not had Nuttrella before but hear about it all the time. i think its time to make this. so it chocolate peaut butter???
it’s an amazing chocolate hazelnut spread…so sort of like peanut butter, but sweeter and better!
I can’t usually keep Nutella in the house – it goes way to fast! This recipe gives me a great excuse to buy some.

I made this with nutella for my husband and peanut butter for me. Yum!!
Talk about that lick-ability factor! I am a huge fan of Nutella. I will give this a try and link to it on our site if that’s okay? I am thinking of adding sliced bananas too ☺♡ Cheers! Cyn
