You may or may not have noticed the big ol’ Love Grown button on my sidebar lately. I’m lucky enough to be one of their Love bloggers, which means I’m also lucky enough to receive a hefty amount of their amazing granola several times a year. But y’all? I don’t want to keep it all in – it’s time to spread the love!
If you haven’t ever read my reviews on Love Grown before, just know this: this is the best granola that I have ever had. It’s addicting (I LOVE LOVE LOVE the Raisin Almond Crunch) to the point that this previous granola-hater eats it by the handful straight from the bag. It’s amazing and that’s just that.
There will be two winners picked from this weekend contest, which is open to US residents only (sorry to my international readers…customs and shipping prices are a little too much for our pocketbook right now!). Just leave a comment answering this question:
What is your all-time favorite holiday side dish? OR What is your all-time favorite holiday dessert?
Simple, right? No wrong answers, just a lot of really good food…and you could win some incredible granola that you will not be able to put down! Contest ends Sunday night at 12am MST, and I’ll announce the winner on Monday!

Pumpkin pie all the way.
I think I have a different answer every day, but sweet potato casserole with pecans and brown sugar on top is usually what I have seconds (and thirds) of!
i love pumpkin pie more than anything
This granola looks fantastic! I’m sort of a finicky granola person – if I find one I love, I really love it, but some just don’t do it for me. So, I’d love to try this one!
My fav holiday side dish is pretty traditional, mashed potatoes with turkey gravy! So good…total comfort food.
My favorite dessert is pretty hard to pick! Of course I love the traditionals that we always do at Thanksgiving, but my mom and I have a tradition of doing a sort of crazy complicated dessert for Christmas (usually something we’ve never tried before!) One of my favorites was a peppermint-chocolate cake – it was marbled with three batters (vanilla, chocolate, and pink-dyed peppermint) and then frosted with a peppermint marshmallow frosting and topped off with candy cane sprinkles. So delicious and festive!
YUM!!! I’m looking forward to Raw Pumpkin Pie this Thanksgiving:)
You can’t beat good old roast potatoes – so simple but SO good when done right!
Oh gosh, how about just tradition potatoes and gravy for my favorite holiday side dish? Oh wait, I have to have stuffing in there too!! yummmy!
I am going to answer both just because I love both questions equally….1. Holiday side dish is sweet potato casserole and 2. Favorite dessert is pecan pie.
Bring on the holidays!!
Green-bean casserole!
Definitely all about pumpkin pie!
I love, love, love! Pumpkin Pie.
I love love pumpkin pie!
Favorite holiday dessert? My Mammaw Dot’s Google Gaggle poured over Coconut Cake! It’s like a vanilla custard. So amazing!
Thanksgiving my favorite dessert is my mom’s pumpkin bars with cream cheese frosting. Christmas I love anything peppermint.
Sweet potato casserole and pumpkin pie. oh yes i can’t wait!!
Definitely candied yams/sweet potatoes. Now I bake a double batch, because I can eat a whole casserole full of them all by myself!
I love stuffing! But, it might be tied with the sweet potato casserole.
Without a doubt that would have to be homemade pecan pie. I only make it during the holidays and I look forward to it all year round.
I LOVE my mom’s peanut brittle. She only makes it during the holidays, but when she makes it, she makes it by the pound! Soooo good.
My mom’s Pumpkin Crisp recipe wins hands down! It’s certainly not healthy fare, but it’s delicious!
Creamy pumpkin pie!!!
I love my grandma’s cheesy potatoes.
Absolute favorite side dish…mashed potatoes!!!
Cranberry-Jalapeno salsa with Fritos. MMMM!!
Thanks for the chance, would love to try this
Mashed potatoes. Hands down. It’s just not the same without them.
fried cauliflower
My grandmother and now my mother makes this stuffing (well technically dressing) that is my absolute favorite. They fry up some onions and sage and mix it with old bread, or better matzoh, and some stock and eggs and make it until it’s crisp on the outside and soft on the inside. It’s amazing.
I love my mom’s mashed potatoes filled with sour cream & cream cheese, then smothered with gravy! YUM.
Hands down, favorite thing to eat during the holidays is pumpkin pie…minus the crust!
Apple pie all the way!!! I bet that sweet cranberry pecan granola would make a perfect crumb topping too…
my grandma’s jello
Candied yams!
I’m looking forward to my grandma’s candied yams and potato salad! Now that I live in a different state than my grandparents, its always so comforting to come back to the same delicious, home-cooked dishes
For me, I most look forward to creamy mashed potatoes and delicious turkey gravy with a little stuffing mixed in for good measure!
It’s hard to narrow down, but sweet potato casserole is my favorite side and pecan pie is by far my favorite dessert!!
I love the holiday desserts! Can’t wait to enjoy a slice of pumpkin pie and a slice of pecan pie – yum!
I’d have to pick my mama’s dressing as a side dish, so good I can eat it cold! I love all dessert, but cranberry salad is my constant fave.
A classic pumpkin pie with a dollop of fresh whipped cream on top!
I’m Japanese, so we have the normal turkey/stuffing deal, but also sushi and other Japanese food as side dishes.
I love granola and would love to try this. My favorite side dish would have to be the sweet potatoes. Love ‘em! My favorite dessert is the buche de noel. Make many every year as gifts t0o!
I can’t wait until thanksgiving!!
green bean casserole hands down… nothing fancy but amazing!
My favorite holiday dessert is pecan pie… mmmmm
Apple pie!
My favorite side dish is definitely my mom’s corn casserole! Yum!
Hm, you know, this is a hard one! I really love candied yams, baked sweet potatoes, and pecan pie. I think those are my top choices for Thanksgiving…but I don’t think I can choose just one!
I love turkey and ham, but also green beans with bacon that my grandma makes…too good! Favorite dessert is easily pizelles Grandma also makes, yum!
I usually love the side dishes more than the main event but it’s hard to beat simple homemade mashed potatoes.
Sweet potato casserole is my favorite, for sure! Sooo good!
Very easy question.
Pecan pie.
Been having it since I was a kid and my great grandmother made it so it’s a staple for me.
Chips and homemade salsa!
I love Love Grown Granola!! My favorite holiday dessert/side dish would be strawberry pretzel salad. We serve it as a side dish since it’s called a salad but the cream cheese and buttery pretzel crust make it taste like a dessert:).
I cannot have a holiday without the green bean casserole!
I spend every Thanksgiving (every holiday really) with my grandma and grandpa – and grandma always makes a banana cream pie for me… the memories are so sweet.
(and stuffing, hands down, as a side dish!!)
OMG I love the mashed potatoes! and Mam’s cheesecake…..it’s different every holiday!
*mama’s
I love cranberries and stuffing. Not sure why I only eat it on Thanksgiving!
It’s tough but I would have to say turkey with cranberry sauce and pumpkin pie for the dessert!
Stuffing-made by my mom-though I do NOT want to know the nutrition facts!
pumpkin cheesecake, totally.
mashed sweet potatoes with butter!!
My dad’s mashed potatoes are divine. I am sad I won’t be having them this year
cranberry sauce, HANDS DOWN! the turkey, mashed potatoes, and stuffing are practically bland and sad without the sweet cranberries on top! yummm!
I love brussel sprouts as a sid dish 2 different ways: 1. steamed and drizzled with balsamic vinegar and 2. steamed then cut into managble pieces sauteed with chopped garlic
Stuffing is my all time favorite holiday side dish!
