30 for 30

Today is my amazing hunk-of-a-man husband’s 30th birthday! Words really can never truly express how he makes my heart happy, or how deeply blessed I am because of his presence in my life. I say it all the time, but I married my very best friend – and for that I am so thankful! To celebrate his 30th birthday here are 30 things that I love about my man.

1. He loves God more than he loves me.
2. He adores our son.
3. He wrestles and cuddles both of our dogs. Sometimes simultaneously.
4. He loves that I like football.
5. He loves food and cooking almost as much as I do.
6. He pushes me to be the woman I want to be.
7. He supports me in everything I want to do.
8. He loves chocolate chip cookies so much that his groom’s cake was a mountain of them. If that’s not cute then I don’t know what is.
9. He loves to travel as much as I do (if not more).
10. He loves airplanes and boats, not to mention movies and TV shows about both.
11. He is “that guy” that’s good at any and every sport he plays. Sometimes competitive me gets a little annoyed by this, but I actually love it.
12. He is an amazing teacher of all things.
13. He hates traffic with a passion – like, big time.
14. He is waaaaaay strong, both physically and mentally.
15. He is the best cuddler. He is a history buff – sometimes I like to pretend I am, but he wins in this one.
16. He can smoke any cut of meat and make it taste like heaven. FOR REAL.
17. He has huge dreams for himself, for me, for our kids, and for our family as a whole. I love this!
18. He reads my blog every day.
19. He thinks I’m a good writer.
20. He thinks I’m beautiful even when I traipse around the house all day in workout shorts, a T-shirt, no make-up and my hair in a bun.
21. He lets me pick out our home décor.
22. He encourages my random crafting urges.
23. He is incredibly smart – book and common sense. You don’t find that every day!
24. He loves spending dude time with Weston and talks about all of the things they’re going to do together as Wes gets older.
25. He puts others before himself.
26. He is a ridiculously hard worker.
27. He’s an amazing friend.
28. He loves with every fiber of his being.
29. He’s only the hottest man ever placed on God’s green earth. And I get to kiss him whenever I want!
30. He loves the Lord, truly and deeply and with all of his heart.

Baby, happy birthday.  You are truly the best, and I am so very deeply and madly in love with you.  Here’s to another 30+!
